on other servers if a economy reset occurs then everyone who has donated gets their donations back... in a way, this is stealing if you are just reseting everything and nothing is returned.
You should re-do the donation system and instead of donating for a specific item you donate for donator points and when you are in-game there is a shop you can go to, to spend your points on items. So.. IF the economy is reset people who have donated will get their points returned to them and they can spend them in the shop.
I just feel the way you are going about this is completely wrong if you are taking peoples items that they have paid for away and getting nothing in return.

You have to remember it's a donation and donations are usually not refundable
