If you want to make a lot of money, continue mining runite ore 85-99 mining;
therefore the benefits are a lot of money, (perhaps 2b+ in runite ore), or you could smelt them into rune bars and get two 99's.

It's going to be a bitch if you're mining runite to 99, I'm slowly making my way up from 87 but it'll be worth it once the ores are sold. The slower path isn't always worse off
