No, because of two reasons:
One your saying that your the only person capable of getting rid of spammers, while there are other very capable players running.
Two: your saying that people will leave because of spam, gtfo, who do you think your fooling.
Oh and one more thing, for all we know that could have been your account spamming.

1) No nobody was capable of getting rid of them, because no staff was on (only ex-staff)
2) Yes someone came up to me and said they were quitting because this server had too many spammers

You're not the shit, and there are always people online who are capable of doing your position as well as anyone else.
However, seeing as you are a veteran, I think you should have quite a higher chance of achieving staff than someone whose newer, or perhaps donated.
