Without a tedious, full-effort approach, spam isn't a fixable problem. From observation, it doesn't seem as if the current staff is able to fix the problem without a few helpers.

Perhaps you should define spam, because apparently the previous posters don't realize that they've spammed this very topic.

The previous posters are also members who have ::yell and have been playing for a long time.

Basically what I mean is, report people who are clearly and obviously just spam posting for ::yell
