Why wouldn't the guy that killed him pick it up... almost no one leaves a good weapon/armour on the ground.

If someone pks a rapier, they can't see it on the ground as it's untradeable.

The owner of the weapon who died with it can pick it up, not the killer. Just like ghostly robes or prayer books

If you go pking with a chaotic, and lose it during the process of you failing, getting smited etc. you can run back and pick it up. you and only you can see it and thats the reason why i go pking with cls and maul
