[GFX Newbie] Hello guys!
#1
After several times of thinking about taking up GFX as part of my hobby, I have decided to give it my first try. However, I completely know nothing about using Adobe photoshop and all the softwares.

I figured that I might be able to set aside enough time to focus on my learning of GFX since I am consistently revising on my studies for at most 1 to 2 hours per weekday. I believe that the road of learning will be difficult for me since,

1. I am not the most creative human alive.
2. I am not very talented.
3. I am trying to figure out profound terms by using Google search.
4. I have never used Adobe photoshop/ illustration in my entire life before.
5. I am not very good with English, I got a C for my graduating exam.
6. I use computer mostly for studying and social networking, but not for this.

I have been reading: http://sg-forum.info/graphics/tutorials/...guide.html and have been trying to make an effort to understand what is happening. Someone could help me out by mentioning what type of hardware, device or an appropriate softwate to purchase or use.

What I can say is that, I am ready to learn.

No one cares whether you are the best or worst at gfx,
It's just if you try, at least in my opinion.

Start with YouTube guides and learn what the tools do.

Find a cracked photoshop download, look hard as there are many fakes and virus' im sure if you look on the forums you will easily find one. When starting off with sigs you need to try and find your style , try out some tutorials learn some tricks and bend them to how you like not how anyone else does. GL

Unless you want to spend $600-$1,300 dollars (depending on where you get it from), I'd suggest you use uTorrent. If you want, I'll give you a link. It's the same one I used, and it worked absolutely fine with no issues. It's located here. You will have to have uTorrent and WinRar installed.

Start off with YouTube and learn your way around Photoshop, and then you can move on to more advanced tutorials. I'd love to see more active GFX members, so I encourage you to at least try. Smile

Trust me it get's a lot easier once you start to get the hang of it. There are some good tutorials on YouTube that teach you the basics of Photoshop that I have started on. I wish you luck on your GFX adventure! Umm, btw take what Trent said and torrent PS. Doesn't seem worth it to pay 300+ for something that you are just beginning to learn.
