Story is pretty long but I'll try to cut it down as much as possible.

--> Stefan was crying using yell that everything is boring and he'll leave
--> Somewhy choose my to be his victim and kept stalking me in superdonor zone and bandos boss provoking me to stake him as he would leave server otherwise
--> Staked him and he wanted to pvp me after that
--> Told him I didn't had any pvp gear I was ready to risk so didn't want to go
--> Stefan promised to give back items as shown below in the screens
--> Once again told him I didn't have pvp gear but he pushed me to use lunar (he'd give back anyway)
--> Fighted for a while but got to a point where none would die (no spec left)
--> We went to the corporal beast to get our spec back and rematch
--> Corp killed us and we actually lost items to it (I didn't know this could happen, NPC's shouldn't be able to make me drop my items, nevertheless all of them? Even firecape??
--> Went back to pick it up but my items weren't visible to me (However they were visible to Stefan-
--> Stefan said he didn't see any items from me and acted as if he didn't know what just happened (just like me)
--> Stefan logged out

Moments later I see Stefan walking around with the exact items I lost (it was late and he was afk so didn't bother starting an argue (as there is never staff online to help with such things anyway :hahagaySmile

Next day I told Stefan that he knew I would die to corp and he would get my stuff (aka scamming me)

In conclusion, it's all just about ags and a bandos set, but the way this all happened was just pathetic. I mean, using an ex-mod's acc to "borrow" items and after being revealed just lying and flaming? Pathetic. Attention seeking. No-one even knew who he was before he started scamming. After my little chat with him i started a flame war in cc for which i apologize as well, but in my humble opinion, people like this should never have access to the server. I come to play every day for the fun of pvm and competing in various skills with other members of the community. I love seeing drops from bosses, getting skills to 99/200m xp, helping new members by giving them free items, whether it's a whip, vls or some armour, but in this case, a bit more than free items.. But when something like this happens it makes me lose my faith in people, it feels bad that i could be used this way just because i was helping new players. I want nothing more than to help SG community to rise to it's former glory, but apparently that's not enough.

Ok, now that i see this text i feel bad for writing so much, but i just wanted to explain the whole situation, because taking advantage of my kindness was too much. Please consider baning him because of the multiple reports of scamming. I hope there is a way to keep him off this server for good..

Unfortunately not. This is for several reasons.
  • Staff members do not have access to player's accounts, and thus can't directly deposit items into the account.
  • Staff members, like any other player, must work for their money. They do not have any special abilities to gain money. Staff members that can spawn are unable to drop, trade, pk, or transfer those items in any way.
  • It is extremely difficult to prove that you had a particular item, and that you lost it because of that glitch. If every person claimed they lost 100b of items because it was randomly deleted, there'd be no way to tell who is lying and who is telling the truth.
  • As far as I know of, rollbacks are not possible due to character files being constantly updated. Character files are usually overwritten and thus, there is no data to roll your account back into.

2. I lost an item to a scam. Can I have a refund?

This one is slightly different. If you lost an item to a scam and were able to PROVE that another player scammed a particular item, the staff member can request the scammer to repay the items in exchange for a mitigated punishment. However, staff members usually do not do refunds from their own banks for the same reasons as #1. Occasionally they will do so out of the goodness of their heart, but it is neither mandatory nor expected.

3. Why was my xlog report declined?
An xlog report has a few requirements in order to be considered valid and punishable.
  • The message "This player is not in the wild" is given in the chatbox.
  • The player's name is shown in the right-click box as proof of identification.
  • The image should not be edited in any way. (reasonable cropping ok, but no photo manipulation)
  • There is only one instance of the player on that square. Multiple instances of the same player on that square indicates a disconnection.

Some things that will usually overturn an xlog report
  • If the user sends an image of them disconnecting in that situation, it will be overturned.
  • If the fight seems inherently unreasonable (a level 60 reporting a level 126 at edgevilled)
  • If proof of photo manipulation is found, the reporter may be punished for fraudulance

4. I disconnected, how can I prove I didn't xlog?
Submit an image of your disconnection of the scene that the xlog report was (basically it has to be when you dced at that particular instance. DCing at ele and submitting an image at Green Drags or Ele with nobody around will not work).

Proof of disconnection can be:
  • The "Connection Lost - attempting to reestablish" black box at the top left hand corner of the screen.
  • "Unsupported Packet - please report to Gir" text in the chatbox (may only apply to login dcs)

5. I'm randomly getting the message "IP temp blocked - please try in 30 seconds".
First of all, don't just wait 30 seconds. Go out for a walk, do some homework, and play other games for at least an hour. If the message continues to persist, delete/re-download your client. Make sure to delete your cache (there are various guides for this). If the problem is still there, you can post and request to know why you are banned. Staff members have logs of bans and the reasons behind them, and can tell you why/if you are banned.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EVADE THE BAN.

Doing so will only make you seem guilty and may result in a permban/hostban.

--- Don't bother appealing. These are forever. You had a chance to read the rules.
