Technically since 2011, but on and off. I count those years as learning the ropes Have been no-lifing pretty hard since reset, considering how tough school is at the moment.

Currently ~20k Was at around 11 days pre-reset now i’m at 14 days 12 hours. So I’d like that to be considered whilst you read through and consider my application. That’s 3 days and 12 hours over the past 10 days, far out.

I am someone who has always been helpful throughout my time spent in SilabGarza, I feel as though this attitude is 100% necessary to be a moderator. I am regularly online at the times wherein there are seldom any staff online, another benefactor as to why I should be a moderator. After a multitude of years playing SilabGarza on and off I have gained an extensive knowledge of what goes on in-game as well as the knowledge of the forums, which translate somewhat to my in-game experience. Recently, pre-reset, I have continued my activity on the forums albeit not participating in-game as much as I am now, this forum activity has kept me refreshed in regards to updates as well as what was actually going on in-game at the time. I will make a great addition to the staff team, as I pointed out in the first sentence, due to my general helpfulness and great attitude towards SilabGarza and the community. I feel as though I am an approachable person, and have affirmation of this through a collection of people asking me questions or asking for help and being able to follow this up with my comprehensive knowledge of SilabGarza and Runescape in general.

If I had to describe myself in three words they would have to be honest, reliable and friendly.

SilabGarza is a game. That is what it's always been, that is how it will always be. But to some of us, it has reached deeper into us. SilabGarza has united people from around the world into this community. Some groups hate others, some groups band together. Letting these groups scrape and spark with each other is destructive for them and the community as a whole.

Being a moderator isn't just telling people "You do this. You did that, now you do this.". Being a moderator isn't just "Oh haha I have a crown so go fuck yourself.". Being a moderator isn't even "Lawl, xteleto. Fun fun fun."

The job of a moderator isn't just to discipline. The job of a moderator is to push SilGar to it's limits. Not to push it backwards, but to pull it forwards. Disciplining those that damange the game is important, but that's not the role of a moderator. It's to help in the community, in every way.

That being said, there are a few characteristics that should help me, as a person fulfill the job as a moderator. First of all, I'm a community person. I enjoy working with people and giving back to the community. In the past year, I had undertaken several large projects for both entertainment and to return to this community. Many guides were released, countless bugs were found, the helping hand was extended to those that needed it. This quality is especially useful when dealing with those that require assistance, such as the new people that we are forever attempting to lure into this rsps. When I throw my energy into a project, I push until it is at it's maximum potential.

Another advantage that I have over other applicants is my previous experience with managing people. In the past year, D Kai and I founded one of SG's largest clans - Imperium. Organization, discipline, and helping others have fun were all parts of it's success. I feel that it has given me a hint of an experience of a moderator, which helps me ease into the role. Many of the roles that a moderator has - helper, enforcer, and event-holder were introduced to me through managing Imperium.

I am by no means a perfect person. I have responded to criticism with demeaning and sarcastic comments. I understand that being a moderator means dealing with a lot of hate and backlash. In general though, I have the excellent ability to remain cordial when confronted with emotion. When dealing with conflict the best solution is simple: defuse the tension and let the two parties communicate in an open, inviting way. Following the rules and making sure others follow them is important, but there is a difference between simply enforcing them and trying to leave everybody happy while keeping the law.

This is the hardest part of the application, mainly because I find it difficult to write about myself.
I assess myself a lot, and I constantly think of what I am, and am not capable of, and in my mind, given what I have managed to achieve in the short amount of time I've spent interacting with this community, I firmly believe that, after much consideration, I am ready for the position of Player Moderator.
I tend to look at things as neutrally as I possibly can. To me, that's a quality that any good moderator needs: The ability to look at both sides of a conflict, and to assess which side has done wrong. Even in real life, whenever I am presented with a conflict, I do my fullest to fully assess a situation and hear what both sides have to say about it before making an informed decision about the matter at hand.
My main strength, and the factor that could potentially lead to me gaining support with this application, is my personality. There's no doubt that I am a likable person. There are of course going to be the few exceptions that disagree with this statement, but I think that over the past few months that I have been here, I have proven that I am, for the most part a likable person, and someone that is very easy to get along with, and easy to approach. I have always been more than happy to talk to people, and answer any questions that they have had to the best of my ability, whether it be money making methods, skilling methods, assisting them with fixing glitches, or simply telling someone to report and issue to a moderator, or even to sit down and have a friendly chat. I have never given anyone a half-assed response, regardless of the question, or problem at hand. I've made many friends on here, some of whom would place a lot of trust on me, all because of the fact that I am a genuine, honest, and easy to get along with person, even on the Internet, which is something I believe is more difficult to find on something as vast as the Internet. When it comes to this community, I've always put my best foot forward to treat you guys as well as you've treated me, because I feel that that's what a community like this deserves.
Should I get the position, I can assure anyone reading this, that there will never be a moment where anyone will ever doubt my ability as a moderator, but more importantly as a member of this community as a whole.

With that being said, there are still flaws that I am carrying with me into this application.
First of all, I've only been here for a short amount of time, hardly over the minimum requirement of 3 months, which may take away from any strength in this application because 3 months isn't that long a time, and perhaps isn't a long enough time to gain the trust, and acceptance of this community, but as mentioned previously, I believe that I have gained the acceptance from this community in a much shorter time than anyone would have first guessed upon my arrival here roughly 4 months ago.
And secondly, I've never been the most confident of people, but I always, always try to do what's right no matter what... and over time, I've become a more confident person in-game, and on the forums. I think that if I am given the chance at the moderator position, I will also be confident doing that once I "learn the ropes" so to speak.
