Okay sure, I'll change it! To another picture of Michael Jackson, of course.

Thanks for the support.

Preface:
Since I do not get in-game often, I will base this post on your forum behavior, and likely, even if I was in-game a lot and saw you around, I would still base this on your forum behavior. By now you're probably thinking, "but I am applying for game Moderator, why would my forum behavior matter?" That would be an accurate thought, to an extent. But, you see, it is my belief that the way we act on a forum is a true insightful look at a person's "persona", more so than how we can judge you based on game performance. On a forum, we speak our mind and thoughts as accurately as we can, because we both have time to do so and because of that we don't feel pressure to make messages; we can collect our thoughts before submitting the message.

________

The Feedback
First impressions, I had the impression you were using your activity and your rank on the hiscores to gain a reputation in order to maybe better your chances at getting a staff position. Ultimately, my thoughts were that you were trying to use activity to "one-up" the other applicants by activity, since you knew that activity from staff in various time-zones differ greatly; perfect opportunity to pull the "I'm more active than any current staff" card. However, after getting to know you through your posts have altered my views slightly; elaboration below.

Judging on some of your posts here on the forums, they seem to follow the crowd, or they are catered to the crowd's opinions and show no true sign of being your own opinion. However, I have seen some posts that show your true thought, and those are the posts I enjoy reading from you. Alluding to in-game, I think if you incorporate some of that thought process, you could positively represent Silab Garza.

However, a while back I have voted no. This was because, at the time, there had been some controversy about your account's security. While it was a mistake, and while you have probably made every effort to secure your account, I feel like even one breach of security is enough reason to turn down an applicant.

There's no doubt that you'd probably make a good Moderator through experience and tutoring from the other staff members, but the past security breach is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. Your account should stay in your own hands at all times. I know, second chances and all, but with security it is a whole other ball-game, in my opinion. The owners need to know that their Moderators are able to keep their accounts void of any security breach. Now, I don't know about SilGar's past, but based on some of the ex-staff coming back, there have been problems like this in the past, and the events shouldn't even have a risk of being repeated with new staff members.

________

Note: Don't take my no vote personally. I still view you as equally as I do anyone else; you're a good guy to boot. But when it comes to staff positions, I am pretty critical. In the past I was taught very good conventions from a good friend of mine, so when I see applications, I look for these conventions. Also, I am a very critical person, for I am slightly OCD and a little bit of a perfectionist, to say the least. With these applications I take everything into account.

Good luck with your application, Ben. Smile

Apologies for the long read. This is 2 months of thought coming out in one post.

You're basing your opinion way too much on that incident. I can name several staff members from the top of my head that were hacked and later re-promoted. Believe it or not, users getting hacked is very often overlooked by the owners. It would be a totally different thing if Ben had gotten hacked multiple times, but this has only occurred once. I really think you should reconsider what you're saying here, one or two cons does not outweigh multiple pros that Ben brings to the table as a moderator.
